Privacy Policy

How QARGO handles your data.

This page contains the full legal privacy policy used by QARGO across web and app surfaces.

Last updated: March 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how QArgo (operated by [Your Company Name]) collects, uses, and shares your information. By using the QArgo Platform, you consent to the practices described herein."

II. Information We Collect

Provided by You: Registration details, Profile info, KYC documents (for Drivers/Fleet owners). Generated by Use: Precise location (GPS), Transaction history, Device information (IP, OS). From Third Parties: Background check reports, Insurance status, and Marketing partners.

III. How We Use Your Information (The "Functional" Use)

To Facilitate Freight: Matching Shippers with available Trucks. Real-Time Tracking: Providing "Live Status" of cargo to the Shipper and Consignee. Safety & Security: Verifying identity and preventing fraudulent bookings. Financials: Processing payments, GST invoicing, and driver settlements.

IV. Data Retention & Deletion

"QArgo retains your personal data only as long as necessary for business purposes or legal requirements (e.g., tax laws require keeping invoices for 7 years). Users may request account deletion via the App Settings, subject to the resolution of pending payments or active shipments."

V. Security Measures

Mention use of SSL/TLS Encryption for data in transit. Mention that sensitive data (like Aadhaar/Bank details) is stored on secure, ISO-certified cloud servers (e.g., AWS/Azure).

VI. Grievance Officer

Under Indian law, you must name a Grievance Officer. Example: "If you have concerns, contact Mr. [Name] at grievances@qargo.in."

Key Takeaways for your "QArgo" Strategy:

Visibility: Ensure the "Location Permission" pop-up in your app clearly explains why you need background location (for the Shipper's peace of mind). Transparency: If you use AI for route optimization or price matching (as mentioned in some of your business plans), include a small note that "Automated tools may be used to improve efficiency." The "Porter" Standard: Like Porter, include a clause about "In-App Permissions" (Camera for PoD photos, Storage for downloading Invoices, Contacts for easy referral). Next Step: Since you are a Director at EL Domo and managing these entities, I recommend having a legal professional review this specific structure to ensure it aligns with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, which introduces stricter penalties for data breaches in India.
